motorcycle escape

The American girl  trying to save christian children from Arabs.                I the narrator, will tell you this amazing story.

This wealthy American girl grew up feeling sorry for all the young christian children in Afghanistan. After she turned twenty, she decided to use her wealth to save the young christian children, despite her parents objection. All of her missions have been successful up until this mission you see here in this picture.  Her and the child jump onto her motorcycle, but just as she starts the motorcycle an Arab kicks the child off the motorcycle! The child screams as he hits the ground loud enough for the American  girl to see him fall off, and quickly reach down and grab the boy, pull him on the motorcycle and take off for her helicopter that is hidden  behind a rocky mountain. On her way to her helicopter the American girl looks over her shoulder to see if the Arabs are following her, and she sees the Arabs following her on the fastest stallions she had ever seen! The girl quickly shifts in fourth gear, and zooms off to her helicopter way ahead of her. As soon as she reaches her helicopter she slams the brakes to a stop, helps the boy off the motorcycle, picks him up, and carries him into the helicopter and tells the pilot to take off. As the helicopter gains height the Arabs arrive and start to shake their fists into the sky. The American girl glances at the child, then tells her pilot proudly that they have completed another successful mission.

Google Glass ubiquity

What will happen if everyone wears Google Glasses? They will all turn into zombies is what will happen! Everyone will be using the computer instead of spending time with their family members and friends. I think its terrible that almost everyone seems to live on their phone right now, if someone invented Google Glasses everyone would be spending their time on them.  I hate it when I see families using cell phones instead of talking and laughing together, and it makes me sad, too. I wish that these Smart Phones and iPod Touches and cell phones had never been invented.

from the archives: writing prompt #102 - reasons to live
*update: edited it to be a little more concise, and it is now accurate with a reference to the name of the story that inspired it: “The Man in Bogota” from Amy Hempel’s book Reasons to Live.

I would tell them to think about how their family would feel once they found out. I would  tell that person that if they ask Yeshuah to come into their life that they will be a better person. I would also tell that person that you should never run away from their problems. Then I would leave them to think about what I had told them, pray for them, and hope that that person turned to Yeshuah.

leaf feelings, cross posted at Big Universe

I am not excited at about falling off of my spot on this tree.
Why? Because as soon as I fall I will be blown off by the wind, or
stomped all over by uncaring people and animals. I will probably get peed on as well, and get rained on. Why does this have to happen to me? I've done nothing to deserve this harsh treatment! The other leaves tell me that I should be happy the time I have left before I fall. They tell me that I should apologize to anyone I've been mean to, and forgive those who have been mean to me too. All of this I will do before the weeks are up, but I am not happy that I will be falling soon. I've wondered who created this terrible time of year, until a friend of mine told me that the one who created this time of year is Yehovah, who is the creator of the universe!

My perfect lair would be an under water house. My house would be in the pacific ocean, and only I would know the exact location. I would go to my lair to have peace and quiet, and do my writing there. I might show my lair to my brother Dylan, but only if he would promise not to tell anyone else about my secret lair. I would go to my secret lair during my free time, and on the week ends.I think I would show my lair to my two best friends also. My lair would have one bedroom, a big library, a kitchen, a living room, a bathroom, an indoor swimming pool, a dark room, for my photography, a room full of yarn, and an inventing room. To get to my secret lair I would have to open a door into my closet, step in, then hop on a moped and drive to the end of the tunnel, then type in a password, step through a sliding  glass door and walk right into my secret lair. This would be my dream lair.

time-traveling history detective, from a set of Common Core aligned history prompts I put together.

The first event in history I would go investigate would be why the children of Israel had a hard time trusting Yehovah to take care of them. I would investigate this one, because the children of Israel were able to hear Yehovah speak to them, and they got to experience and witness such wonderful miracles, but they still had trouble trusting in Yehovah, and complained against Him.  I would hope to not only figure out, but learn to understand why the children of Israel had such a hard time trusting in Yehovah.

worth waiting for

I would wait in a long line to get a handshake,or an autograph from Suzanne Collins, Veronica Roth, and Janette Oak. These three are all authors and all three of these author's books have girls as their main characters. This list says that I enjoy reading interesting books almost more than anything else.
